How to make Sunburst Lemon Bars.

For a long time, this one treat was not a very easy to fix treat, in fact, it was one of the hardest ones that you could try to do. The steps here in this recipe will help you save time and money on it as well, and what is even better is that this is also a very tasty dessert for families with small kids too. And also other family members also, which is rather simple knowing how good the dessert tastes.

The ingredients here, all of them included, aren't hard to get, and are easy to find at your local grocery store. And if you want to make a second helping of these for a bunch of friends, it is rather simple too.

What is also very good ,is that the Sunburst Lemon Bars are quite delicious and tasty too.

And that they also go well with a lot of things that you can have for dinner(or even a snack), or anytime that you need something tasty for an urge for a snack. I like to have these after a lunch, but whenever you want them for your treat time is fine.

Process:

For base you will need:

2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 cup margarine or butter softened

1 teaspoon baking powder

For filling:

4 eggs slightly beaten

2 cups sugar

1/4 cup lemon juice

For frosting

1 cup powdered sugar

2 to 3 teaspoons lemon juice

Process

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit. In large bowl, combine all the base ingredients at low speed until crumbly.

2. Press mixture evenly in bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees Farenheit for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown

3. Meanwhile in large bowl, combine all filling ingredients except lemon juice; blend well. Stir in 1/4 cup lemon juice. Pour mixture over warm base.

4. Bake at 350 degrees Farenheit for an additional 25 to 30 minutes or until top is light golden brown. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled.

5. In small bowl ,combine 1 cup powdered sugar and enough lemon juice for desired spreading consistency ;blend until smooth.

Frost cooled bars. Cut into bars.

6. Yields 36 bars.
